Highlands Ranch, CO
Highlands Ranch is a massive planned community directly south of Denver. Located on the northern edge of Douglas County, Highlands Ranch is still unincorporated and as such receives many of it's community services (e.g. police & fire) from Douglas County. A Littleton mailing address also works for Highlands Ranch and many homes are deeded (and listed) as in Littleton. But when driving through Highlands Ranch it is fairly clear where the community begins and ends. Highlands Ranch borders Littleton to the north and Lone Tree to the east. To the south is a designated backcountry wilderness area and to the west is Chatfield State park and reservoir.
The yellow highlighted area represents an approximate boundary line of Highlands Ranch. From Denver, access to and from Highlands Ranch is available via Santa Fe Road, Broadway, University, Quebec, C-470 and several other smaller roadways.
As the southern border of the Denver suburbs, many of the roads that past through Denver end in Highlands Ranch and eventually turn in other directions. It may feel strange to travel on University east when University if a north-south directional road. (University turns into Lincoln at Quebec).
Highlands Ranch is so large that it's divided up into four areas: Westridge, Northridge, Eastridge, and Southridge.
A more detailed map of Highlands Ranch can be found on the Highlands Ranch community website and I've included a link to Highlands Ranch on Google Maps.
There are multiple subdivision neighborhoods within Highlands Ranch and I happen to specialize in Firelight at Highlands Ranch.
