I thought about this subject as I pulled out of my garage today and counted the nine homes that are for sale on the street where I live. My neighbors and I all bought new homes a few years ago and now it seems that everyone is getting that 3 year itch to move to a bigger, newer, different house someplace else. It will be interesting to watch these 9 homes battle it out over the coming months, all trying to sell fastest and for the most money.
Last month I had a similar situation with a condominium that I owned and needed to sell. I put it on the market right after the holidays and faced six other nearly identical units in the complex, plus almost a hundred similar units within a five-mile radius. My condo sold and we closed in February while the bulk of the competition is still on the market today. Why? What made the difference?
I don't have the time and space to explain it all here, but I will tell you that it was a combination of many, many things and if you want to know more about how I sold before the competition, check out my
